Before fame
He developed an interest in cooking when he was around 9 years old. He pursued formal culinary education at The Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2016. Trivia
He was featured as the chef for the Xmas Test Kitchen pop-up in Santo Domingo in January 2018. He is commonly known by the nickname "Ann" which is a nickname given to him by his brother. He has said white balsamic vinegar is one of his favorite ingredients due to its ability to balance sweetness with subtle acidity.
Family life
He prepared an apple strudel with his grandmother when he was 9 years old which impressed his grandfather and sparked his passion for the culinary arts. His father has helped him with business and distribution and became part of the Juan Valdez Café expansion.
