Amar Sehmbi

About

Punjabi singer most renowned for winning the seventh season of the musical competition show Voice of Punjab. Some of his popular songs include "Gal Kar Ke Vekhi," "Rum Te Rajaai," and "Aankhi." He shares clips of his performances and portrait-style photos to his iamamarsehmbiofficial Instagram account, which has amassed 650,000 followers.

Before Fame

He earned his college degree from SCD Government College in his hometown of Ludhiana, Punjab. He learned to sing while attending the Tejwant Kittu Music Academy. His audition was rejected by Awaaz Punjab Di in 2015, however, he took the rejection as a challenge and focused even harder on practicing his singing.

Trivia

He won the state level Shabad Gayan, an international inter-school competition, three years in a row.

He has two brothers, including one named Param Sehmbi.
