She runs in cross country and also participates in the 3000m, 5000m, and the mile. Her numerous career accolades include finishing first overall in the 5000m at the RADD Sports Invitational.

Before Fame

She attended Jasper High School, where she set the school record in both the 3200m and 5K. During her high school career, she became a five-time track and field regional champion and a three-time cross country sectional champion. In high school, she also participated in swimming and softball.

Trivia

After graduating high school, she attended the University of Louisville for her freshman year in college and Indiana University for her sophomore year. In 2024, she began attending Florida Atlantic University, where she majored in multimedia journalism and represented the Owls.

Family Life

She was born to parents Michelle and Stephen Van Meter, both of whom also have athletic backgrounds. Her mother ran cross country while her father played baseball at Oakland City University. She has three siblings named Mayson, Trey, and Linzi. Her boyfriend, Wylee, is also a collegiate runner.
