Known for being the mother of author J.K. Rowling. Her daughter founded the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic in her name as part of the University of Edinburgh to keep her memory alive after she passed from complications due to multiple sclerosis at the age of 45.
She met her husband on a train departing from King's Cross Station for Arbroath in 1964. She worked as a high school science technician. She was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 35.
She was married to aircraft engineer at Rolls Royce Peter Rowling.
