Filipino actress known for being typecast as a villain. She was in over 80 films from the 1950s to her death in 2013. Some of her movies include 1986's Batang Quiapo and 1993's Dugo ng Panday. 

Before Fame

She attended Far East University. During her sophomore year in 1950 she appeared in her first movie, Tatlong Balaraw. 

Trivia

She won the 1967 FAMAS Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Ang Kaibigan Kong Santo Niño.

Family Life

She was known as the original Primera Kontrabida. Her parents were Matias Dancel and Emilia Papa. She had one child Ruby Dancel-Arcilla.
