Braden D. Smith

About

Collegiate point guard that initially enrolled into Purdue University as a freshman in 2022. Following that season, he was named a member of the Big Ten All-Freshman team. As a sophomore, he earned first team All-Big Ten honors. 

Before Fame

He was considered a three-star recruit while at Westfield High School. During his senior season, he was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball. 

Trivia

In 2023, he made Purdue program history after becoming the third freshman ever in Big Ten history to score over 340 points while also recording 150 assists and 140 rebounds in a single season. The only other two players to ever achieve this feat in the Big Ten were Magic Johnson and D'Angelo Russell.

Family Life

Although he was born in Russellville, Arkansas, he grew up living with his family in Westfield, Indiana.

He was teammates with Zach Edey while at Purdue.
