Former NHL player best remembered for his days with the Carolina Hurricanes. Following his NHL career, he became a scout for the AHL's Rochester Americans and a research analyst with the Assembly of First Nations.
He was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and played for the Albany River Rats before being called up by the Hurricanes in 2007.
He has served as the Director of Business development for 3NOLANS, a hockey school founded by himself, his father and his brother.
His father, Ted Nolan, is a former NHL player and coach. His brother, Jordan Nolan, has won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Los Angeles Kings.
He earned his first NHL assist on a goal from Andrew Ladd, with whom he was teammates on the Hurricanes.
