About
French designer, artist, and painter known for transforming buildings, streets and public spaces with bold, Memphis-inspired geometry and vibrant color and known for working at architectural scale by covering bridges, façades and even entire city blocks through painted murals, immersive installations, and painted interiors. Her signature projects include Villa Walala, House of Dots for LEGO, and Captivated by Colour.
Before Fame
She struggled at school with dyslexia. She moved to London when she was 23 years old to learn English. She worked a series of hospitality jobs while experimenting with creative night classes. She then enrolled in Textile Design at the University of Brighton and graduated in 2009. She founded Studio Walala after graduation. She painted the London nightclub XOYO in 2012 which was her first big project. Her big break was painting the "Dream Come True" Building in Shoreditch in 2015.
Trivia
She designed the official poster for the 2022 Montreux Jazz Festival. She worked as a cheese seller while in her early design and art career.
Family Life
She was born and raised in Piégon, France. She grew up with an architect father and a mother who ran a B&B.
