Before fame

She showed musical talent at 3 years old and was discovered as a child performer. She began vocal training and learning keyboard when she was 5 years old and competed in more than 40 Eisteddfods and national competitions winning many of them. She performed at the Pretoria State Theatre in 1996 and appeared in productions such as La Bohème and The Sound of Music. She released her first demo CD called Corlea - My First in 1997. She continued performing throughout her youth and gained international experience including working with Global Harmony International and touring in Japan in 2007.

Trivia

She has performed in major concert productions such as Afrikaans is Groot and Classics Is Groot. She has a fear of heights and was once in an earthquake while in Japan. She first gained major commercial success with the duet album Ons Lieflinge/Our Darlings in 2009 with Rudi Claase which went gold within two weeks and later double platinum. She released her first solo album Wie Ek Is in 2011. She released the solo album Onbreekbaar in 2018.
