Jazz artist who was a member of Louis Armstrong's All-Stars and was the leader of the Los Angeles-based Tuesday Night Friends.
His first gig was in 1942 with the well-known Joe Marsala.
He relocated to Los Angeles in 1959 where he earned a living as a freelance and studio musician.
He was born in Hartford and died in Sunland, California.
He performed with Jimmy Dorsey's orchestra from 1949 until 1950.
