Point guard who played for the NPBL's Anderson Packers during the 1950-51 season and for the NBA's Boston Celtics the following year.
He attended North Carolina State University, where he was a second-team All-American his sophomore year, and led the team to the Final Four his senior year.
In 2005 he was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
He was married to Jean Dickey until his death, and the couple raised seven children together.
In his one year with the Celtics, he was coached by the great Red Auerbach.
