He formed Don Tetto with the goal of winning a local battle of the bands contest in 2003.
His band earned Latin Grammy Award nominations for Best Rock Album for the releases Mienteme - Prometeme (2011) and Don Tetto (2014).
He has dated Colombian television presenter Linda Palma.
