Mexican musician best known for his adaptations of regional music. He was nominated by the Latin Grammy Awards in 2011.

Before Fame

He began composing his first song at the age of 11 and taught himself to play guitar at age 13. He spent a year working as a gardener in Oregon prior to his musical success.


He achieved fame and success after popular Sinaloan banda singer El Coyote made hits out of Little Kisses on the Neck, Forbidden, and To Impress You, all songs he had written.

Family Life

His father gave him the money to buy his first guitar. He lost his mother in the 1990s.

He was nominated for Best Banda Album at the 2011 Latin Grammys at which Shakira was named Person of the Year and won Best Female Pop Vocal Album.
