Minimalist artist known for her use of fiberglass, latex, and plastics in works such as Repetition Nineteen III. She was also known for Eighter from Decatur and Oomamaboomba.
She attended the School of Industrial Art in New York, the Pratt Institute in New York, and the Yale School of Art and Architecture where she was mentored by the famed Josef Albers.
She contributed to the Happening movement during the 1960s.
She was raised by observant Jews in Hamburg, Germany. They were forced to flee the Nazi regime in 1938. She married sculptor Tom Doyle in 1961.
