Franjo Ivanović

About

Croatian soccer player best known for playing as a forward for professional clubs such as Benfica, a club competing in Portugal's Premeira Liga. Prior to signing a five-year contract with Benfica in 2025, he had played for professional clubs in Belgium, Croatia, and Germany. He has also played for the Croatian national team throughout youth levels before making his international senior debut in 2025.

Before fame

He started playing youth soccer with SVg Mayrhofen in his hometown of Schwaz, Austria when he was only five years old. He later joined FC Augsburg's academy in Germany and progressed through its youth system and second team before making his senior debut.

Trivia

During the 2024-25 season, he played for Belgium's Union Saing-Gilloise, where he scored prolifically and ultimately helped the club win a Belgian Pro League title.

Family life

He was born in Austria and also holds Croatian citizenship.
