He changed his name from Frank Wood to Frank Woodley in 1993, when he began his career as a performer.

In 2007 he performed in the stage show The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), a 97 minute production which encompasses 37 Shakespearian plays and in 2012 he was given his own comedy show, entitled Woodley.
