Singer who sang bass in the popular country quartet The Statler Brothers. He was a key songwriter behind many of the group's biggest hits, most notably "Do You Know You Are My Sunshine" and "Bed of Rose's."
He began performing with The Statler Brothers in 1955 in Staunton, Virginia.
