Before Fame

After completing a degree in history at Brasenose College, Oxford University, he worked as an apprentice for the BBC's Newsnight program; he later produced the popular News Quiz series.

He was a writer and creator of a darkly comic adult cartoon series titled Monkey Dust.

Family Life

His affair with English journalist and poker player Victoria Coren ended his marriage to Fiona Duff, the mother of his two sons. On the morning of the day that he died of lung cancer, he married his second wife, Lisa Whadcock.

Associated With
