Before Fame

He joined his hometown club Valencia CF's youth setup in 2002 at the age of seven. He made his first-team and La Liga debut in February 2017, coming on as a substitute for Mario Suárez against Alavés.

Trivia

He and brother Carles Gil make the third sibling pairing in New England team history, joining Alexi Lalas and Greg Lalas. Dauda and Ibrahim Kante were also a sibling pairing.

Family Life

His older brother Carles also plays soccer professionally, also as an attacking midfielder. He too came up through the youth system at Valencia, and the pair are teammates at New England. He was born Ignacio Gil de Pareja Vicent.
