Before fame
He graduated with honors in philosophy from Princeton University and earned graduate degrees from the University of Southern California including a master's degree in marriage, family and child counseling and a doctorate. He and Lauren Matthias started Hidden True Crime in June 2020 after connecting two USB microphones to a laptop during the pandemic.
