Pakistani bowler whose wicket-taking prowess earned him a spot on the country's national team in 2011. Nowhere was his talent more apparent than in first-class cricket, where he recorded 5 wickets in innings 19 times in his first 61 appearances.
He grew up playing cricket with improvised equipment (such as tape-ball). His bowling ability became apparent early on and he was only 17 years old when he made his first-class debut.
He spent much of his early domestic career playing for Lancashire. He only needed 14 Test matches to reach 50 wickets in competition.
He grew up in Swabi with his brother and sister. He and Khansa Khan married in 2015.
He and Wahab Riaz became teammates on Peshawar Zalmi of the Pakistan Super League.
