Architectural historian who became famous as the Professor of Architectural Theory at Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
He earned his master's in Architecture from MIT, after earning a BA from Georgie Institute of Technology.
He has also been the Chair of the Ph.D. Committee at Harvard, and the Curator of Architecture at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
He and his wife, Martha Pilgreen, have a son named Henry.
He, like Alfred Conrad, was a professor at Harvard University.
