Known for his many collaborations and tours with rock singer Rod Stewart, this songwriter, keyboard player, and music producer also worked with Bob Dylan, Patty Smyth, Pat Benatar, and numerous other artists.
After completing his classical piano training at London's Trinity College of Music, he began working as a session keyboardist.
By 2014, he had received four Ascap Awards and several Gold and Platinum Album Awards.
A native of London, England, he later settled in Los Angeles, California.
Between 1980 and 2006, he contributed to ten Rod Stewart recordings. In 2013, he produced another Stewart album, Time.
