Ligue 1 and Premier League defender who joined Saint-Étienne on a permanent basis in 2015. He played his first Premier League season with Cardiff in 2013. The team was then relegated and he was loaned to Saint-Étienne in 2014.

Before fame

He grew up playing for Rennes' youth side before joining the senior team, earning more than 100 total caps with the Ligue 1 side.

He made a handful of appearances for France's youth national teams, playing for the U20 and U21 teams.
