Golden Globe-winning and Oscar and Emmy-nominated stage and screen actress, singer, and dancer. She appeared in such films as Victor Victoria and The Happiest Millionaire and was seen by millions in the 1965 television version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.
Before gaining entrance to the famed Actors Studio at the age of seventeen, she trained at the American School of Ballet. She made her Broadway debut in the 1963 production of 110 in the Shade.
She appeared in episodes of Will & Grace, Desperate Housewives, and In Plain Sight.
Her marriage to Jon Peters produced a son named Christopher. She later married Ronald Taft.
