Flamenco singer known for being Spain's first representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. She also represented Spain in the contest in 1965. She came in ninth in 1961 and failed to score in 1965.

Before Fame

She started her career as an actress. She was in the 1955 film The Moorish Queen and then in the 1958 film Vengeance. 

Trivia

Her song "Estando Conchita" from the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest has gained popularity in 2021 after clips of the performance were posted to TikTok. 

Family Life

She was born in Seville, Spain. She moved to Madrid when she was a teenager.
