Professional bass angler, television personality, and expert analyst, also known as "Z," known for his sharp insight and humor. He has served as the co-host of ESPN series including Loudmouth Bass and The Bassmasters. He has also hosted his own show called Zona's Awesome Fishing Show, which aired on the Outdoor Channel. Additionally, he served as an on-air analyst for the Bassmaster Elite Series for over two decades before stepping down from the position in 2025.
Before Fame
While traveling with his parents to Sturgis, MI at the age of 4, he caught his first bass, which inspired the lifelong passion for fishing that would follow him into adulthood. He went on to continue fishing local and regional bass fishing tournaments throughout his attendance to Glen Oaks Community College, where he earned an associate's degree.
Trivia
He was declared the winner of the FLW Everstart Northern Division Angler of the Year in 2003. In 2024, he was inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame.
