Meral Okay

Screen actress known for her roles in such Turkish television series and films as Second Spring and Beynelmilel (English title: The International). Also a screenwriter, she penned numerous episodes of the historical television drama Muhteşem Yüzyil.

Before Fame

Before beginning her career in television and film, she joined the Workers Party of Turkey and served as a labor union leader for the socialist organization.

Trivia

She died of lung cancer at the age of fifty-two.

Family Life

In 1984, she married fellow Turkish screen actor Yaman Okay.
