Before fame
He grew up making videos with his parents' VHS camcorder and first became known online for his viral photo series featuring his dog Vivian in 2017. He purchased his first drop-bar bicycle in May 2020 and began structured training with Road Cycling Academy in November 2021. He began making cycling videos on YouTube in 2021.
Trivia
He completed a 340-mile ride across Nevada's Loneliest Road in two days in 2022. He wrote the 2017 children's book Vivian the Dog Moves to the Big City. He has been a member of the official BMC Ride Crew and has hosted the cycling advice podcast How to Drop Your Friends.
Family life
He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and lived in Utah, Philadelphia, and New York before settling in Los Angeles, California. He is a father. His miniature dachshund Vivian who inspired his viral photo series and children's book passed away in July 2026 after nearly 16 years with him.
