South African musician, presenter, and influencer who initially gained popularity for her Christian music. She was the runner-up for the singing competition show Idols SA in 2015. She has garnered over 500,000 followers on her mmatema_ Instagram account. 

Before Fame

She began singing when she was a young child, and by age 10 she was being booked for ceremonies by people in her hometown. She went to study technology at Tshwane University of Technology, but ultimately focused more on music.

Trivia

She has been a member of multiple choirs, such as the Reflex Raise Choir and Tshwane Gospel Choir. Her first album, called Love Praise & Worship, was released in 2017.

Family Life

She got married in February 2019 to Tshepo Gavu Moletlane, who she calls Mr G. They have a son and a daughter together. 

Associated With

Her audition song of Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper" is what helped her gain popularity and move to the next round of the Idols competition. She became the runner-up to Karabo Mogane of that season.
