Country singer and the mother of Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd. With her older daughter, Wynonna Judd (born Christina Ciminella), she formed a popular country vocal duo called The Judds. She died in April of 2022 from suicide.

She attended nursing school before deciding to go into show business.

Trivia

Her vocal group The Judds scored fifteen #1 hit songs. In May of 2022, her daughter was very outspoken about her unexpected death discussing her first mother's day without her. 

Family Life

She married Michael Ciminella on January 3, 1964. Nearly two decades after their 1972 divorce, she wed Larry Strickland.

Associated With

She stared alongside Andy Griffith in the 1999 film A Holiday Romance.
