Before fame
She starred in multiple sports during her youth including volleyball and basketball and competed at national levels in Canada. She committed to play for the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in April 2015 and joined the Rainbow Wahine as a 6'5" middle blocker. She medically redshirted her first season in 2015 and then began competing in 2016. Her sports breakout came in 2018 when she started 23 matches, played 87 sets, and finished second in the Big West with 1.07 blocks per set and totaling a career-high 93 blocks. She began making and posting online content on Instagram in late 2022.
Trivia
She earned All-Big West First Team honors in 2018 while playing for Hawai'i. She was named to the Outrigger Volleyball Challenge All-Tournament Team in 2018. She was a Big West Academic All-Conference honoree and a UH Scholar-Athlete. She majored in biology while attending the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
Family life
She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She has one younger sister. Her parents are Greg and Gerri Burns.
