Nathan Chan

About

Cellist who has served as the Assistant Principal Cello of the Seattle Symphony. He has performed with numerous orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Albany Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed at various music festivals such as Marlboro Music Festival and Anchorage Chamber Music Festival. 

Before Fame

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia University. He received his Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School. 

Trivia

He was named Forbes 30 under 30 for Seattle. In 2015, he won the Aspen Low Strings Concerto Competition. His musical fame has helped him accrue over 30,000 followers on his nathanchancello Instagram page. 

Family Life

In August 2023, he announced on his nathanchancello Instagram account, that he got engaged to Christine Lee.

He collaborated with R&B legend Roberta Flack on her Beatles tribute album.
