About
Swedish figurative painter known for his atmospheric oil and watercolor works that blend classical realism with contemporary social scenes along with his paintings Mirror, Emma, Entering the Train, Goldfish, Bedroom, and Shadows on the Wall. He is also known for his showcase series with Arcadia Contemporary, for his The Bar Series, and for his Instagram page where he shares his art with his followers.
Before Fame
He began his formal art studies at KV Art School in Gothenburg before attending the Florence Academy of Art from 2007 to 2010 where he also worked as a teaching assistant. He received a scholarship to the Hudson River Fellowship after graduation. He studied with Norwegian painter Odd Nerdrum in Norway and France. He eventually returned to Sweden to establish his studio and begin exhibiting internationally.
Trivia
He received an Exceptional Merit Award in 2012 from the Portrait Society of America. He prefers drawing directly from life rather than photographs to preserve subtle color shifts and authenticity.
