Portuguese Catholic priest and techno DJ also known as the "DJ Priest" and known for his songs "Ave Maria," "El Grano De Mostaza (Remix)," "CITADEL," "Protégeme Señor (Remix)," "The Church Bells," "Adoramus," and "Lift Up the Fallen" along with the projects Ave Maria, Póvoa Bendita EP, Selfish Love II EP, Veneremur Et Adoremus EP, Integral Ecology EP, and Si Tuvieras Fe EP.

Before fame

He has been a Catholic priest since 1999 and has served as a parish priest in northern Portugal and as a military chaplain. He completed deployments in Kosovo and Afghanistan where his DJ journey began in 2010 while organizing morale-boosting events for soldiers. He took formal DJ classes after returning to Portugal and began hosting music nights as fundraisers for his parish in Laundos. He gained momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic by livestreaming weekly DJ sets that fused techno with religious and folk elements which helped him build a large online following. His breakout viral moment came in 2023 when he played an early morning outdoor set at World Youth Day in Lisbon which exploded across social media.

Trivia

One of his most talked about moments was when he asked Pope Francis to bless his DJ headphones. He has performed in iconic locations including beneath Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer statue, and at festivals such as Medusa Festival in Spain and Zamna in Chile.

He was born Guilherme Peixoto. He was born and raised in Guimarães, Portugal.
