Emmy-winning hockey broadcaster best known as the longtime play-by-play announcer for the Chicago Blackhawks. He received the Foster William Hewitt Memorial Award for his outstanding work as a broadcaster in 2014.

Before fame

He received a Communications degree from Michigan State University and called games for the International Hockey League's Grand Rapids Owls.

Trivia

He is the voice of the hockey video game "2 on 2 Open Ice Challenge."

He was born in Glenview, Illinois.
