Pontus Holmberg

NHL right winger that was taken by the Toronto Maple Leafs as a sixth round pick in the 2018 Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played for the Växjö Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League. While on loan with the Växjö Lakers during the 2021 season, he and his team won the Le Mat Trophy after being named champions of the Swedish Hockey League.

Before Fame

He first joined the Växjö Lakers as a member of their U-18 team. 

Trivia

He made his official NHL debut playing against the Philadelphia Flyers on November 2, 2022. Just a few weeks later, he scored his first NHL goal while playing against the New Jersey Devils.

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in Vasteras, Sweden.
