Before fame
She became interested in fashion at a young age after watching fashion programming and reading magazines. She first studied pre-med at the University of Illinois before transferring to the Savannah College of Art and Design to study fashion. She eventually moved to New York, worked in luxury retail at Barneys, and worked in design and patternmaking for brands including Kimberly Ovitz, Calvin Klein, Gap, Suno, and Theory before launching her fashion label OMONDI in 2013.
