Before Fame
He had an early interest in singing and dancing as a child. He auditioned for Menudo in 1979 when he was 12 years old and was chosen to join the group. He replaced Nefty Sallaberry in the group. His debut coincided with the release of the album Chiquitita, which kickstarted an era of success for the group. He contributed to several successful albums, including Felicidades, Más Mucho Más, Es Navidad, Fuego, Xanadu, and Quiero Ser. Trivia
