Son of US Senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew to former US President John F. Kennedy. He is known for his environmental law practices and for hosting Ring of Fire, a nationally syndicated left wing radio show.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and obtained a Master of Law degree from Pace University.
In 1998, alongside Chris Bartle and John Hoving, he formed Tear of the Clouds LLC, a bottled water company that began donating all profits to Waterkeeper Alliance.
He had two children with his first wife Emily Ruth Black and four kids with his second wife Mary Kathleen Richardson. He then married actress Cheryl Hineson August 2, 2014.
He endorsed the 2004 Presidential campaign of John Kerry.
