Perhaps most famous for competing on the 2013 season of The Amazing Race, he is also well known as a stage and screen actor. He is particularly notable as a performer in the North American tour of the humorous play The Queen of Bingo.
Before appearing on The Amazing Race, he established performing arts companies called Greenwood Hill Productions and Theatre A Go-Go, Inc.
His television credits include roles in episodes of Gilmore Girls, Boston Legal, and Veep.
Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, he later settled in Charlotte, North Carolina. On the Amazing Race, he teamed up with his close friend and fellow theatre actor and producer, Shane Partlow.
He and Miss America finalist Mallory Ervin both competed on The Amazing Race.
