Thai-Canadian drummer, producer, and composer known for her innovative fusion of traditional Thai music with Afrobeat, funk, and soul, and known for her albums Cosmic Island and Rammana.

Before Fame

She initially began learning how to play the piano as a child. Her passion shifted to drums after learning about a drum teacher at her school. She was drawn to grunge and heavy metal, and the drums quickly became her instrument of choice. She started posting videos on YouTube in 2012 and busking on the streets of Bangkok. She was working as a session drummer for various Sony label artists in Thailand by the time she was in her mid-teens. She moved to North America when she was 19 years old to pursue her education. She released her debut album Cosmic Island in 2021.

Trivia

She worked as a producer on the album Donte Sann Yo by the duo Bel and Quinn, which was nominated for Best World Album at the 2024 Juno Awards. She coined the term "Afro Isan Soul" to describe her unique blend of traditional Thai instruments with Afrobeat and soul. She is highly inspired by music, fashion, and aesthetics from the 1970s.

Her real name is Salin Cheewapansri. She was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand.
