Before Fame

She earned a bachelor's degree in global health, a master's degree in psychology and a PhD from McMaster University in Ontario.

In 2022 she released a children's book titled Gurk and Bianca, focused on the connection between mind and body.

She has a sister named Anya, who was the inspiration for a character in her book and a co-founder of the Canadian Courage Project.
