Former professional basketball player, Olympic Festival gold medalist, basketball executive, and youth development leader known for her career in women's basketball both as a WNBA guard and as a leader in youth sports development. She is known for playing professionally in the WNBA with the Charlotte Sting and Minnesota Lynx, for representing Team USA at the 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival, for playing collegiate basketball for the University of Maryland, and for founding Chase Your Dreams Academy while serving as a director of Nike Basketball Camps.

Before fame

She attended McDonogh School where she was a standout high school athlete and became a four-year varsity basketball player and two-time team captain. She went on to play NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Maryland, College Park. She earned national attention while in college when she was selected to represent Team USA at the 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in English language and literature along with a certificate in women's studies. She was drafted by the Charlotte Sting in the 1998 WNBA Draft. She played in the WNBA for six seasons and finished her career with the Minnesota Lynx. She founded Chase Your Dreams Academy in 2002 and served as its President and CEO.

She won a gold medal at the 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival as a member of Team USA. She earned multiple MVP awards while playing professional basketball overseas.
