About

Former professional ski jumper who is recognized for having won the gold medal in the men's ski jumping event at the 1998 Olympic games in Nagano. He announced his retirement from the sport in 2014.

He won a total of five medals in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. He has World Cup victories under his belt. He was once the oldest ski jumper to ever win a World Cup competition.
