Indian actor and poet known for his role as Anand "Annu" Mishra in the critically acclaimed web series Gullak along with his work in other series and films such as Mandala Murders, Inside Edge, Mai, and Good Bad Girl.
Before fame
He pursued higher education in mass communication after moving to Mumbai. He developed a strong interest in acting and theatre while studying and eventually dedicated several years to practicing and developing his acting skills. He began his acting journey around 2013 working with The Viral Fever and appearing in short films and digital content includes the short film Sirf Khuli Khidki. He appeared in smaller roles across television and film including an episode of Stories by Rabindranath Tagore in 2015. He also had a minor role in the film Noor and appeared in the web series Inside Edge. His big break came in 2019 when he was cast as Annu Mishra in Gullak. He became further recognized after starring in the series Mandala Murders in 2025.
Trivia
He won the Filmfare OTT Award in 2021 for his performance in Gullak Season 2. He is also a poet and has been writing poetry for several years. He founded and has hosted a creative platform called Poetry Session where artists perform poetry, music, and spoken word. He enjoys kickboxing and MMA fitness training.
Family life
He was born and raised in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is the brother of filmmaker Amrit Raj Gupta who directed the first season of Gullak.
