William Joseph Vigar

English soccer player best known for playing as a forward for Arsenal FC academy. He also played for clubs including Derby County, Hastings United, and Eastbourne Borough. While playing for Chichester City in an Isthmian League Premier Division match against Wingate & Finchley on September 20, 2025, he suffered a substantial brain injury after colliding with a concrete wall. He was subsequently placed into an induced coma and underwent surgery; however, he sadly passed away on September 25, 2025.

Before Fame

He joined Arsenal's Academy when he was fourteen years old and signed his first professional contract in July 2022. 

Trivia

His tragic death sparked demands for safety reviews in lower-league and non-league stadiums, particularly in the vicinity of concrete walls and other pitchside hazards. 

Family Life

He was only 21 years old at the time of his death.
