Before fame
She began singing and recording at home around 2011 and uploading cover songs to YouTube at a time when few Bangladeshi artists were using the platform seriously. She had no formal music training but learned how to record with the help of her elder brother. Her early uploads were primarily English pop covers and slowly gained traction, and by 2015 she was starting to gain a significant following. She began working on her own original music and released her first album Uncaged in 2017.

Family life
She was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has an older brother who helped her learn the technical side of recording. She married Bangladeshi television host Rafsan Sabab in January 2026.
