Originally known as St. Luke's F.C., the Wolves were one of the founder members of the Football League in 1888. They also helped in the establishment of the European Cup, later to be known as the UEFA Champions League.
Trivia
Ex-player turned manager Stan Cullis helped lead the club to win the Football League three times and win the FA Cup twice.
