Large complex of seven buildings in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City. At they time of their completion, 1 World Trade Center and 2 World Trade Center were the tallest buildings in the world. They were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. One World Trade Center was opened in November 2014.
Trivia
The newer One World Trade Center became the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere at 1,776 feet when it opened.
